How the board works
One spark is one minute of focus. Finishing a break adds five. Sparks accrue from Monday through Friday in UTC; at the cutoff the top three receive 10, 6, and 3 permanent Gems. The board remains visible over the weekend and resets Monday at 00:00 UTC.
One board, not two. The free web timer and the desktop app write to the same row, so your sparks add up instead of splitting. The desktop app counts more strictly: it can tell whether you were really at the computer, which a browser tab cannot. The mechanism is in the leaderboard guide.

Watching is free and needs no account. Signing in is what puts your row here; sparks earned signed out are handed over the first time you do. Being on the board is optional: Settings → Privacy removes your row and stops the sync, and your sparks keep counting for you.
